Welcome to eHMP

The Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA) Evolution Program is a joint effort between Office of Information & Technology (OI&T) and Veterans Health Administration (VHA) to enhance the VistA product. A critical cornerstone project under the VistA Evolution Program is the enterprise Health Management Platform (eHMP) project. eHMP is the infrastructure and user interface that will replace the Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS) as the primary point of care application for the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA).

eHMP User Interface

eHMP will incorporate and enhance CPRS functionalities as well as introduce new clinical capabilities. Components include:

  • The eHMP User Interface (UI) which can be accessed once a development environment is set up. Procedures are included in standalone environment installation guides and on this wiki at eHMP Preview Environment for eHMP Preview environments.
  • A clinical data services engine
  • Other middle tier services such as Clinical Decision Support, Context Persistence, Orders Selection Service, Orders Management Service, Data Annotation Service, Clinical Workflow, Concept Relationship Service, Documentation and Text Search Service, and Business Rules Management
